Saratoga Street Apartments

C2 Design was hired to provide architectural design services for two new three story apartment buildings located in Cohoes on Saratoga Street. The design of the proposed buildings and surrounding site posed a challenge because of the existing grade that slopes up 14 feet starting at the Saratoga street side back to the rear property line. The sloping site was used to bench the building into it enabling the ground floor to be used for underground parking for future tenants. The two newly designed apartment buildings will house in total 84 luxury style living units. The third floor units are unique in that six of the units have elevated loft areas that add an extra 400 square feet of living space to each of these units for tenants. The buildings are scheduled to open in late spring of 2012.
